What do you do when you see a problem? Fix it. We were stuck in a terrible home with dial-up Internet..well guess what we MOVED.

After countless home viewings and speaking with potential homeowners we found a home that suites everyone. My daughters are closer to their Grandmother, Katie can go back to her friends at her previous school, and THANK GOD FOR HIGH SPEED INTERNET...among other things

So the moral of the story is...Never ever give up on your goals. No matter how tough that road is, keep going and solve each problem step by step.

Look for new art to start popping up on this page. I have been trapped by a dial-up connection for so long that I have a basket of ideas and a brand new outlook!!

Also, I am accepting requests now. If you have any please send me a note.

Please Read So That I Can Clarify This Now


I was recently contacted by another member of Deviant Art to which I will keep their id secret out of respect. It seems that one of the images that I had used for merchandise at Cafepress looks very similar to one found on the web. I was given a sketch months ago by a male friend of a lady with a cigar in her mouth. I am sure all of you have seen the image in my previous journal entry.

To make a long story short, when I was given this sketch, I was told it was an original piece of artwork made by him. I know that he drew the sketch, but what makes me uneasy is that he used their picture as an idea. Given, there are many differences between the two images, but out of respect for another artist I sent the following email below.

FOR THE RECORD-- Not one item has sold from CafePress. I did not market those items at all with the exception of in my journal at Deviant Art. Those of you who know me on Deviant Art know that I give FULL credit when credit is due.

To Whom It May Concern,

Recently I was contacted by a member of Deviant Art in regard to a picture that I had on my Deviant Art personal page. This picture was given to me as a sketch, and I later modified this sketch with Photoshop and posted it to Deviant Art. I was told that it resembles a piece from Olivia named Spontanious Combustion located at [link]

I checked this link out and obviously the person that gave me the sketch (male friend) drew his sketch using your portrait as an idea. Although I do not believe it is Copyright Infringement because the sketch is different in several different ways from the painting (face, hair, body , color usage etc), I am taking it down out of respect for another artist.

Please understand that as an Artist myself, I do not do business this way and if I had known prior to now where at minimum the idea for the sketch came from, I would not have used it. I have learned from my Mentors over several years that original artwork comes from one's soul and is a divine expression of their thoughts and feelings. In no way did I know the full truth about the original sketch, and for my oversight I hope you accept my apology.
